One of the big things I liked about the durability mechanic is that it encouraged you to throw your weapons. ![]() Both to preserve the Master Sword's durability as well as to have fun playing around with the other weapons. Yeah, I had the Master Sword to fall back on, but unless it was a boss fight or a Guardian Sentry, I kept that in reserve. Other than that, I would just run through my arsenal with reckless abandon. ![]() I tried to keep a set of all of the rods and elemental swords too, but I was usually missing one or more of them at any given moment. I deliberately kept a torch, a leaf, a drill, and a boomerang of some kind as utility items. The thing about weapon durability for me was that it encouraged me to be flippant about different weapons to use. ![]()
